Over the June long weekend (June 13th & 14th 2010) Fire and Steel entertained the crowds at the Richmond Vale Railway Museum as part of their Coalfields Steam celebration. At our display members of the public were able to feel the weight of chainmail or try on an authentic Viking helmet. An array of weapons, crafts and items from day to day Dark Ages life were on show, with members of our group on hand to discuss the many facets of how the Vikings lived. However the crowd favourite would have to be the fighting displays!
